Consider an Indian Scout - I’ve put 29,000 on mine in less than 3 years. The Shadow is a good bike, but it just didn’t feel the same for me. You won’t go wrong with either, but don’t buy a Shadow until you have at least ridden a Scout.
I have an Indian Scout 2012 too and my most recent one was a Harley Softail Springer. There’s a Youtube channel called Beards and Bikes which I watch and he’s very knowledgeable of all types of bikes from racing to Harley. and he quote Bibles passages from time to time too.
