Ymani, your timing in passing this along couldn’t have been better! I have 7 brothers and sisters and only one remains unjabbed, like me. We each have one son who is also unjabbed and they’ve both been receiving considerable pressure from their companies to get jabbed. My nephew spent several years becoming schooled and trained for his job and he loves it. After receiving a letter from his HR department yesterday that he had until January 31, 2022, to get vaccinated or face measures up to and including termination, he announced he was exhausted from the fight and was going to take the vaccine.
My sister was naturally beside herself with fear and grief at the possibilities, and learning of the ruling of the New Brunswick Labour Board has given everyone renewed hope that both the job loss and the jab can be avoided. We’re in different provinces and are uncertain about the degree to which the dark side has infiltrated our respective Labour Boards in Nova Scotia and Ontario. However, we believe that the New Brunswick ruling used The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms as the foundation for its ruling and we’re optimistic that it will have application across all Labour Boards in the country.
After a tear-filled and hard day yesterday, there’s considerable joy in our households today after learning about this. As the story you posted pointed out, this ruling has been buried by the media and isn’t widely known.
