Entertaining Small Town COVID Politics

Last night we had a borough assembly meeting where they took up the following:
"Assembly member Chelsea Tremblay asked for the new ordinance but said she did not intend for it to pass as drafted."

Tremblay was dodging after hearing the comments from the community. Her amendment would have imposed fines on individuals and require business owners and landlords to report violators on pain of being fined themselves.

Audio link to the assembly meeting. The first speaker is the Chief of Police.

Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy Wants A State Coalition To Combat Federal Overreach. Will It Work?

PHOENIX — Alaska Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy needs allies.

Within 10 months, D.C. Democrats have obstructed logging activity in the Alaska’s southeast Tongasss National Forest, stalled progress on a life-saving road for remote residents to reach an all-weather airport in Cold Bay, cancelled oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), and suspended new drilling activity in a state home to 60 percent of federal land.

For reference, we are in the Tongass. Thread beyond the trees
