The leaves are the giveaway: they’re smoother, narrower, and thicker than those on related types of figs.


classification is very artificial.

It helps us to understand the world but remember what it is.

A regional variant in other times, other mores. Splitting vs lumping having to do with Uluru being sacred to First Nations, and prostrating to First Nations a sacred ritual in academia.

Pure speculation.
