Fascinating.., you come from a colorful family.

It as the same in New York City, where I grew up.

It wasn’t what you knew...it was who you knew, esp. with those highpaying city jobs.

how about it. I think back in the day in NYC you had a Rabbi?

After I got out of the service, I had a couple of traffic tickets.
I'm riding with a friend who is on a suspended license and he makes an illegal left turn.
Cops are right behind us and flip their lights. My friend pulls into an alley and we switch seats.
Back then, we had to go back to the cop car (do that today and they pull their weapon).
They had seen me get outta the drivers side and I gave them my 2 tickets. They gave me a 3rd.

I tell my g'mother...next thing I knew, the RAT party in the area has got lawyers for me and I have to go to court.
They give the judge a song and dance and I get off with supervision.
I had to buy the judge a new hat for a hundo. (you bought the cops breakfast).
Turns out, the judge was the head of the traffic court and ultimately got arrested in Operation Greylord.

Who I knew was my g'mother.
