I’ve always avoided updates on my Win7 machine, and it works fine. Last time I had any was when it was reinstalled on a solid state HD by my tech guy, and that was 4 or 5 years ago.
Hubby is always screaming at his Win10 machine for doing stuff like spontaneously crashing. We both have laptops with Win8 which is just ‘meh’, IMO. Absolutely terrible without a shell, and mediocre with one.
I’ve had zero issues with Windows 10, I have it on my desktop and three laptops.
