The software version installed on TVs may be different but on the hardware you can “hack” them so to speak. On some of the Amazon Fire Sticks you can side load apps that will stream 1st run feature films from offshore bootleg sites. I don’t do this but I have seen people’s TVs that were set up to do it.
There is more hate on Facebook platforms than anywhere. Wikipedia sucks so bad.
“I wonder how long it will take for web browsers to follow suit.”
It won’t. If anyone tries this there will be a forking revolution.
“Here is their opening sentence:”
Wikipedia is good for finding out things like the boiling point of water, and that is it.
There literally are thousands of ‘channels’ at ROKU website to choose from. You can get other non approved channels but it is hit and miss on how well they work due to whoever has created it.
Get the free Pluto tv for all the oldies in tv and movies.
Sling TV for $40 a month will get you what the cable company charges at a much much higher price, plus you can watch many other shows for say TCM or TBS etc then the one broadcasting right now. On some you can fast forward.
I have Amazon as I buy stuff all the time and they throw in movies and music.
Go to Youtube on the pc and find what you like and click on the subscribe button. The youtube app on the ROKU will pick it up after you go into ROKU’s settings and do an update. To fix any issue with the Youtube app just do an update in the Roku settings.
Soon you will have many channels to watch of all sorts of interesting content. You can fast forward thru many commercials. All for free.
Most of the corporate new hires are kids who have been brainwashed by our Marxist run schools who think it is a good thing to censor anyone who disagrees with them because those people are all “Nazi Fascists”.
