Thanks. This article was terrible. I learned nothing from it except there is believed to be a “third introgression” as determined by Baysian based AI.
Nothing on actual methods. Just a just-so story.
I won’t say it’s wrong, I’ll just say it doesn’t take certain things into consideration.
1. Australian Aboriginals are separated from Europeans by at least 50,000 years. If you use a 25 year generational model, that’s 2,000 generations apart from your average European. Let’s give a bit more time from your average African.
2. If one group has no Neanderthal DNA, one group has Denisovans DNA but NO Neanderthal DNA and the fourth group has both Denisovans AND Neanderthal, they are NOT the same species. Add that ghost group into the mix, where does that go?
3. Let’s add Homo Sapiens as a group but then further break into Homo Sapiens into old and new.
WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!!!
