I think the civil suit will be on the production company, and not Alec personally. Hopefully a FR legal mind will chime in.
Any lawyer, me included, would tell him to keep his mouth shut. But, given his ego and narcissism he probably can't do that.
The big issue is criminal charge or not? The way he's running his mouth I'm guessing his lawyer or the Soros DA or both have told him he will not be charged.
Here's the twist. Most insurance policies have an intentional or criminal acts exclusion. So, if charges are brought, the insurance may disappear. The insurance company is probably already drafting the lawsuit for a declaratory judgment of no coverage.
On the other hand the production company didn't fail to treat a pistol as a potentially deadly weapon, point it at a person, and squeeze the trigger. I think anything or anyone with money will be on the receiving end of a lawsuit since there doesn't have to be just one lawsuit (disclaimer: my mind is not legal, it isn't illegal either).
