Speaking of Grandma and the Great Depression, I’m canning turkey broth today. Of course I bought the turkey at the store, and when the store is empty I will have nothing left to can.
I have a little cookbook, “Clara’s Kitchen” that has wisdom, memories, and recipes from the Great Depression.
It talks about dandelion salads, how to cook dandelion leaves, how to make ketchup to put on your eggplant burgers and how to make a roast chicken last for 4 days.
Might be time to get it out and dust it off.

Gran…I’ve watched several of Clara’s YT vids..at least I think it’s the same Clara. I would love to have her cookbook. I’ll have to look for it….to have on hand, before the book burnings begin. 😩
