In the Mojave desert in CA, BLM would round up wild horses and Burros. Most were in pitiful shape. The lucky ones were rounded up, got back to health, then sold to private people.
Knowing how fragile horses are by seeing our friends in the Sierras with their breeding farm, I don’t see how the wild ones survive. How do they deal with their hooves and teeth? And many other things domestic horses get regular treatment for?
