We lost both of the the Senatorial runoff elections in Georgia at least in part because so many people stayed home to protest the rigged 2020 elections. Thus we lost the Senate, the ability to stop Dem federal legislation and possibly the Republic. The more people who vote Republican, the harder it is for them to win by cheating.

Senate runoffs are typically lower numbers however, more people voted in the senate runoff than voted for Kemp in the 2018 Governors race and than voted for Trump in 2016.
