I always love looking at those kinds of photos, but I the people who write the preface for them are just weird.
On this one she wrote things like:
- Some historical photos can't be explained. (And then she explains them)
- The more we look at them, the more disturbing and unexplainable they become. (Disturbing? Unexplainable?)
- There's something so eerie about these beautiful photos, and it only takes a closer look to unveil the truth. (Eerie? Interesting, but not eerie.)
- Our ancestors had done an excellent job at hiding the hard-to-swallow past from us. ("hard to swallow past"?)
- We've collected a rare collection of the most chilling historical photos ever that will send shivers down your spine. (Not chilling, and hey don't send shivers down the spine unless an overweight Elvis on a motorcycle with a stripper on the back is chilling!)
- Please beware that some of the images in this gallery are for mature audiences only. (LOL, there is that Elvis photo again.)
- Are you ready to take a deep dive into these bone-chilling photos from the past? (Thank goodness my bones are resistant to chilling!)
Like I said, I love these silly things and am a sucker for them, but the commentary is bizarre to me.

And thanks for posting them. I love looking at them, but sometimes the descriptions are enough to keep from actually doing that! (That, and the fear of getting some kind of malware!)

Wow, just wow.
Gladys Elvis looks like Rosie O’Donnell in that first picture.
Cesar Romero did his own makeup. That’s a real Thespian there.
Jack Nicholson chatting with Dennis Hopper and he is as high as the moon. Dennis is trying to keep it straight.
Family dinner in 1959, that roast and veggies looks a lot like the ones I still serve to my family. Good food is still good food.
Bennie Hill and the secret of his success, OUZO.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and always enjoyed going to SF, but this one I never got to enjoy - the old elegant Cliff House.
To the right out of view of this photo was where the now torn-down Playland-At-The-Beach was. Cool place and a shame they tore it down.
Water's freezing cold but surfers love it there. Strong undertow.

Steve McQueen visited by Ali MacGraw while filming "Papillon", 1973.
Looks like Bill Clinton.
Doesn't look like Hillary Clinton.
