There was no booty to be looted in the Azores. The Vikings were pretty lazy about that.
The weird thing was they had such a lust for green pastures and the Azores would have given them a perfect launching point for their excursions.
And yet, they did not take the opportunity to USE IT.
The Vikings were fierce and adventurous, but they sure were very much like today’s Dimocrats...absolutely no FORESIGHT.
