RE: Your post of Little Joe
When I was in 1st grade Loren Greene (LG) came into our classroom to discuss Bonanza and the like...
Of course the discussion was incomplete without mentioning the ‘blanks’ that they shot with on set.
LG warned us all that blanks were VERY dangerous, then he held up a phone book pulled out his ‘six shooter’ and blew that phone book into bits of confetti with just a blank cartridge.
I remember the demonstration very well!
I imagine bring a pistol to a classroom today...
LG could've pulled it off, 'No better gunslinger in the woooorld.'
Imagine even drawing one in a classroom today.
(I once brought two WWII vet bring-back guns to a history class, and I carried them in openly. During the entire day, the only person who did so much as raise an eyebrow was a poorly-closeted lesbian gym teacher.)
Haha! I’m so glad we grew up when we did. It was real.
Does anyone remember the actor on some 1980s detective show who was fooling around on set and put a gun loaded with blanks to his temple and pulled the trigger? Anyone remember that guy’s name? He was some kind of pretty boy/model/bodybuilder/mental genius if I recall.
