This particular one, the warning was first issued around 6 PM central, initially extending to 10 pm. Then 4 AM, and the latest is 10 AM. The spikes in geothermal activity are possible/likely during the warning and so far, we’ve had 3 such spikes to the K7 level. I think the K-scale is unique to the power industry as it is set up to indicate what effect it might have on the power grid. The most likely effected areas are near the poles.

I’m home now - too bad I don’t live in Montana or Washington because I think there’d be some really nice solar lights out there right now.
