Alec Baldwin is undeserving of empathy because he’s never been charitable to another human being. That being said it’s very unlikely that he will even be charged for the woman’s death, much less convicted.
Movie companies hire armorers and ADs to inspect and clear guns, they don’t train actors to do it. Kirstey Alley has mentioned doing it but her experience doesn’t seem typical. Movie sets aren’t shooting ranges and the rules for handling guns having live ammunition aren’t normally applied to sets.
Baldwin may not even have any exposure as a producer. That will depend on if he had any role in running the production. He’s actually a co-producer, he may be one of many co-producers, and the production company may have simply been using his name to help get funding.
I won’t go into a lot of detail because this is not the place for it, but I really need to share at least a tiny personal bit. Not being able to harbor empathy for another human being runs counter to EVERYTHING in my soul. Yet Baldwin makes it almost impossible. I have to check myself to keep from actively rooting for his total demise. That’s horrible even though Alec Baldwin’s Narcissism, from what I’ve discerned and seen throughout the media, is pervasively evil. My goodness, he can’t even hide it well.
I’ve only witnessed Baldwin’s depth of Narcissistic Personality in two other people in all my 61 years. Liars all and the most manipulative, controlling, totally destructive, grind you under their heel with glee, evil personalities. How does anyone harbor empathy for that? You don’t. Can you imagine the destruction he has wrought in the lives of his children? We all know about and many have listened to the audio of his voicemail to Ireland Baldwin. For that single instance there has to be a million and one other instances of destructive behavior that we are not privy to. No empathy.
