I used to see photos of Charles and Camilla in the American newspapers in the early 1970s. The Queen and the Queen Mum did not approve of her because she wasn’t virginal and wasn’t royal material. Sure Diana was a virgin but she was not perfect. Diana had a few issues as many of us do. While many Brits still hate Camilla, she has proved herself to be “royal material” by all the work she does.
