Re The Now Famous Montana Memo
Almost feel sorrow for the pitiful “Acting” US Attorney created that memo.
Used to be a career gummint lawyer worked his way up to #2 guy in the office under a Trump appointee, got The Word from Washington, dutifully produced the list of faintly possible charges as directed and (I’m beginning to think) left the office for a long, long journey through the backwoods as far from civilization as possible.
And there are a whole bunch of places in Montana that meet or exceed that description.
Anyway, if you think the catcalls and critiques were severe in those hearings, you’ve never been around a group of well and truly PO’d folks from Montana.
Kindest description of That Memo from County prosecutors was “silly”....
Unkindest one couldn’t be broadcast or published. Probably because spitting on the ground and walking away saying things under your breath doesn’t lend itself to much but Keep-Away-From-Him-Until-He-Cools-Off moves.
(MHO, the School Boards around here would have preferred that DC had just shut up and let things settle down from the last time they poked that bear....I think they’ve even been able to go out in public for a couple weeks now without drawing mama bears annoyed about arbitrary mask mandates and such.)
