As I like to say, "Not every German brought to the U.S. by Operation Paperclip got us to the moon."
They were definitely not all benign.
To be fair, many of the "international" socialists and fellow travelers that we allowed in as "political refugees" from the Nazis were just as destructive to the USA. I have learned to distrust the intelligentsia of any stripe.
