Pfizer has two vaccines. They are not the same which means the CDC is lying when they say the have the same ingredients.

The first one, used from the start on the population, was known as bnt162b1. The second, comirnaty, was known as bnt162b2 and is not distributed in the US.

Here is the difference:

BNT162b1 is a lipid nanoparticle formulated, nucleoside-modified messenger RNA encoding a SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain (RBD) antigen.

BNT162b2 is a single nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (modRNA) candidate that encodes an optimised SARS-CoV-2 full length spike glycoprotein (S)

Big difference. The receptor binding domain is a subset of the the spike glycoprotein.

Sounds like Comirnaty deals with the whole spike protein, but the PfizerBiontech only deals with part of the spike protein.

The question then becomes:

Why?
