You can take that statement either way. If he’s worth $34M to them playing, it’s got to suck having him sit out a game - even without pay. Having him play was how they were making money.
If I remember correctly, he doesn’t get paid for the games that he is ineligible to play in - Nets home games, Knicks and Warriors. He does get paid for games that he is eligible for, since it is the Nets decision to not play him.
I wonder if he would get paid for a game if a city bans him after the Nets already banned him?
