Yes - I check to see if a round is in the chamber. I don't unchamber every round to see if it is live or blank, though, nor would I expect actors to do that on set when they're dealing with multiple guns all the time.

Unless I hear otherwise, this actually looks deliberate on the part of whomever put that live round in the gun.

Fair enough. I always unload and reload. Not counting the nightstand gun. That is the only exception.
