Baldwin hired non union gun handlers because union gun handlers were threatening a strike and Baldwin didn’t want to delay production. So he hired scabs instead.

Meh. Hiring union doesn't mean they're competent, and hiring non-union doesn't mean they're incompetent. In this case, however, it appears at least two people were incompetent.

If there was a labor dispute involving gun handlers, it makes one wonder if a disgruntled worker did this intentionally.
