“The only way to leave the job pool, if not institutionalized or retired, is to die. 1.2 million people.”
ROTFLMAO! I left the job pool mid-career. I wasn’t retired or institutionalized.

Roll around on the floor all you like. Karl’s numbers are accurate and he defends them well, and invites others to explain to him where that 1.2 million people ‘disappeared’ to.
Keep rolling around, just make less noise please.
If you left the job pool mid-career.....isn’t that the same as ‘retiring’?
Morons strut around like pigeons when they don’t have any clue what they’re talking about. Are you a moron? I hope you aren’t and that you just made a mistake by assuming you knew what you were rolling on the floor laughing about.
Anyways, the numbers they are talking about here are the total number of people ages 16 to 65. When you left the ‘job pool mid-career’, you didn’t leave this list. The only way off the list is by leaving the country, being institutionalized or dying. And that 1.2 million number is just since January of this year. It has been rapidly increasing too.
