I thought discussing the news of the day was the whole point of FR? Perhaps I’m mistaken.

But one thing I do know is that on 9/11, one FReeper after another immediately posted: “Al Qaeda.”

There are many knowledgeable people here.

Some people want to show how noble and above it they are.

I been around long enough to spot them.

Some people are above following a story about a guy killing his girlfriend.

I’m not.

It’s about the culture and like you say, it’s the news.
