The mother in the commercial then covers the broccoli in cheese and it saves the day. Me? This commercial pisses me off big time!

OMG it pisses me off, too. However, as a child of 6, I did run the household one night, when my mother made pinto beans and I refused to eat them.
My dad said, “Fine, we’ll sit here until you take a bite.”
Only it was more heated than that lol. Well, I won. We sat there until 9? I went to bed the hungry winner.
Most of the time, I was just sent to bed lol.
But you are right, there was no catering to our whims.
I’m so annoyed by commercials these days. The Eggo waffle one, with the two moms and the little girl refusing to put her pants on is another one. Continually shoving demented behavior in our faces. Oh the other one is some new tv show about a female or all gal singing group getting back together. That one is annoying.

I’ve noticed a lot is same sex couples in commercials. They try to be coy about it, but it’s just more programming.
I have sat at the dinner table by myself for hours because I wouldn’t eat something as my parents went on about their business. Guess I was an opressed child. 😂
