I just read through the comments and now I know Bennett’s politics. I hate when that happens. I so wish politics were kept out of music, movies and sports.

Some leftists are just plain evil. Example: Hillary Clinton.
Some leftists are simply misguided. Example: some of my friends.
Tony Bennett is another class altogether. He saw heavy house-to-house fighting as an infantryman when the US army pushed into Germany 1945. Bennett later wrote that the experience turned him into a pacifist.
So I try to give the old vet a break politically.
