a couple of yrs ago my hub and I traveled teh Kananaskis trail....most of it on gravel roads....won’t do that again....

If you come back, take highway 22 south from the Trans Canada highway. Beautiful, paved road, the highest pass in Canada and a big loop that can bring you back to Calgary via Longview and Black Diamond (where the hotel has a terrific pub), for a wonderful day trip.
