My life is so different from most of you that I try not to emphasize it too much here. Having said that, we haven't bought any meat for years except for a little bacon and an occasional lamb chop.

I am neither a hunter nor a fisherman. Most of our neighbors are, however, and we make a sufficient contribution to the community that we never want for fish or wild meat.

We could use more conservatives in this town...

Before I was born, my parents were stationed in Fairbanks. (Brother, now deceased, was born there). Mom always said moose meat was good but very gamey. And according to her, bear meet was stringy as all get-out. Is that accurate?
