When I was a child I had book about a boy's birthday wish coming true. He wished that the kids could be in charge w/o adults. The wish came true and the kids did whatever they wanted for a while, then the cake, candy and ice cream upset their stomachs, they ran out of food, the laundry and trash piled up.....
Eventually all the kids wished that the adults came back.
I wish I could remember the name of that book.... anyone?... Beuller...?
