What an incredible performance and spectacle.
Thanks for that. Every note of the melody was handled with care. Nothing rushed. The fact that all the players are dressed to the nines adds another layer of experience. Their ‘voices’ were delivered like gifts to all who may hear it, near and far.

The production and staging was very organized in that vast expanse of auditorium. Were I in that audience, I would have been embarrassed due to my tears. Some music can effect one that way if you go with it. Live Phillip Glass performances effect me the same way.

It was the song the band played as the Titanic was going down. Just thought it was fitting.

I cried over the music every Sunday at church when I was a little girl. Most Sundays I still do.

Intermission at the symphony usually finds me in tears. Same when I saw Wicked

Yeah...sometimes it’s a little Embarrassing

As a young boy he was in a Dutch town liberated by American soldiers. He did a tribute in his concert to one of them:

The place is called Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. I saw Chet Baker, Gerry mulligan, Modern Jazz Quartet, Louis Armstrong Stan Kenton and many more jazz greats perform in that building when I was a teenager.

It will never be allowed in our Godless congress. It should be played in our many Family Planning butcheries.

It will never be performed in our Godless congress. It should be played in our many Family Planning butcheries conducted by Biden and Pelosi, alternatively.

500 brass players & 1 shows up with a fiberglass sousaphone…;-) Great performance of a noble song using multiple human musical skills on strings, percussion, wind, and voice. Loved hearing the bass line in the vocal portion.
