True, but I know people use it not for political information but as a way to keep in touch with those they don’t see often or have moved out of state.

I use FB to keep on touch with family and friends. It's convenient. I'll post my opinion on occasion on political issues.

That’s exactly what I do!! And, it allows me to keep in touch with people my parents were/are friends with in our hometown.
