When the s*** hit the fan, the only ones to speak up in his defense were the 38 Rs in Congress who signed a letter about his confinement. He was visited by Louie Golmert, a Texas Republican. Not one Democrat in the Congress signed anything, spoke up, or visited the guy and I don’t see a word in his screed about the senile boob who presided over the Afghanistan disaster. At a minimum, he sounds like a self-centered ingrate.
Yes, he’s biting the hand that feeds him ... that’s true.
But I’m OK with helping a person wronged even if that person is well - you know - not the least bit grateful if there’s even one string attached.
He attempted to save a lot of Americans. our STANDING in the world, our weapons from the Taliban and our secrets from the Chinese. And he didn’t care about his career, his standing in the Marines or what anyone (including us) thought of him.
