I’d care about practicalities like that. And it’s not easy to just say “just shoot them if they come over” - we don’t need to be that Soviet.
As for your Italy stuff - the point is, immigrants LEFT real home, and likely would never see it again, not even for a visit. Sure they gather together. That actually helps a bit, for them to GET acclimated. But many were not here with their whole families, and certainly not in familiar environs and language, etc.
That is much more effort and alienation than me, say, moving to Kansas. Or even CA native moving here. The language (mostly!) and the traditions are the same overall.
I’d care about practicalities like that....The practicality of that, for me, is, the Left/Liberals/Democrats caused all this mess. With the help of some Republicans, I haven’t forgot about them. So, they can pound salt up their a$$es as far as I’m concerned. Nothing impractical about it for me, in any way. They don’t like their new situation, move.
Isn’t that what they’re doing now anyway? After decades of their policies destroying their liberal cities/enclaves, they’re now moving to the Red areas, bring all their bs with them and ruining the next place.

I would be doing cartwheels to see Atanta, most of Fulton County, Dekalb, Clayton, Albany, Augusta, and Savannah whither away to nothing. I would be doing cartwheels and actually help any and all liberals pack on their journey to the new Blue Country, wherever it is.
