But, if the New York Times were to suddenly start running stories praising President Trump, would their readers and advertisers react kindly?

What if the New York Times exclusively ran pro vax and derp state propaganda?

Oh, that's right. They do.

Your point is dwindling, Chase. Just admit you're an idiot and be done with it. I got better things to do.

I made my point, I thought you Q people had extra brain sensor abilities and can sniff out solutions and answers to thousand year old questions.

My point is.

The New York Times appeases their readers. They sell ads based on the caliber and interest of their readers.

A Pro-Vaccine Blog…..Ditto.

A Dog Magazine……..Ditto.

A Gun Magazine……….Ditto.

A Anti-Vax Blog……….Ditto.

The New York Times and many other Print or Internet “News” sites expect to be in the business for the long haul. Decades and decades.

A Blog, even more so a current event Blog is in it for the short term.
They can be extra…..extra what you say?
Extra EVERYTHING……Extra Dramatic, Extra carefree with the “facts”, and Extra wrong as long as it gets clicks.
They don’t worry about accuracy as they know their issue/cause is going to be short lived anyway.
But what they do need is Explosive headlines, BOOM!, Bombshell, and of course the much loved, Whistleblower.
