Chemical and biological weapons are grossly over-rated. It takes a huge amount of chemical munitions to cover an area. The biggest problem is that they are not usually effective against troops with proper protective gear and trained in it’s use. The reason they were outlawed of a lack of effectiveness.

Biological weapons have other issues. First, it may take considerable time for them to become effective. Second, they can be nullified with the proper vaccines. Third, there is the issue of ‘blow-back’ where the disease affects your forces too.

This is standard stuff they teach in the Chem/Bio/Radiological classes given to unit level personnel.

I actually found some of the work interesting but I’m not a ‘bugs and gas’ kind of guy. I only worked at Dugway for about a year, until I could arrange a transfer back into the rockets and missile business.

My handle is in remembrance of one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned. I obtained a Great Dane while at Dugway and I registered him as Duke Maximillian of Dugway.

And, once again, no, I had nothing to do with Bio while at Dugway. In fact, the bio lab was closed down for safety reasons while I was there. Some here, however, are trying to discredit my posts by claiming I’m a member of some kind of bio cabal.

• Fake blow-back claim....considering the ones releasing already have the ‘antidote’, for those they want protected.
