Absolutely.
The savage way they acted will NEVER be forgiven.
Not so fast LOL- true story-
I currently live in a rural county in SC. When my daughter was 5 she was taking dance lessons in a studio located in the largest town in the county. I always waited for her in the reception area. One day I’m sitting there minding my own business and the grandmother of one of her classmates was there too. Being from a small town (I am NOT from here) the grandmother started asking me about my family. I told her none of them were from this area so then she regals me with information of her own and her daughter-in-law. She mentioned several common people on both sides of that union. I made the mistake of asking to clarify which side of the family a certain person was on. “Both” was the reply. When I said, “Excuse me?” she responded by saying yes they were cousins, her son and her daughter-in-law. But, it was ok for them to be cousins because “The British Royal family does it- they marry their cousins.” (Ya’ll I know I don’t have to say it but you can guess- there isn’t a drop of royal blood flowing through anybody’s veins in this area!) In her next breathe she talked about how “special” her granddaughter was- she would just walk straight into walls. Hmmmmm do you think the bloodline might have something to do with it???
George looks like his mother, glad he is finally getting married. We took his mother sailing about ten years ago when she was visiting America. The House of Romanov would like Putin to recognize them as monarchs again albeit with no power, just titular head of state.
Romanovna could mean her dad’s first name was Roman.
Russians use your Christian name plus your dad’s name plus the correct ending (-ovich or ovna). That’s your patronymic.
For instance my SIL was Linda Hermanovna to her students.
Nicholas wanted to go to england in exile but cousin George didnt want them to come, fearing commie protests
had to look twice at the bill, but there it is! wow..
