Fort DeSoto Park is in Pinellas County, FL. It was WWI artillery base, now a nice park with access by car tollway, and ferry boat access to the Egmont Key.
Used to be... before, called Mullet Key. MMMM... smoked mullet and beer- Southern delicacy.
There is no “prison” at the park. There is a US Army facility that is now a Quartermaster’s Museum.
