Hmm. Interesting question. I doubt the panels would matter. But then again... My “20 year panels” only lasted 1 year. Down to 30% from when I first installed them so in to the trash they go. Maybe it was sunspots.....
What brand panels are you seeing fail you ?

Just finished installing 64 new panels made in Texas last month.
fyi — my 10 year old panels are doing fine. Seem to be at least 90% of what they were new. Hard to really compare as over time I change things !!
btw — don’t buy any Fronius inverters. After ten years and two 5 kw installed, we are on like #6 between the two under warranty. I’m on my own in another month.
