Sonjiah Davis was the epitome of Washington cool. She was a well-connected, successful therapist trained to deal with emotional health. And yet, living in the capital of the United States, she says she was constantly looking over her shoulder.
I've been to Ghana. It's a beautiful country filled with friendly people. And it was a British colony, so most everyone speaks English. Though Miss Davis may have difficulties transitioning to her new homeland. I find African blacks to be culturally much different than American blacks.

And yet, living in the capital of the United States, she says she was constantly looking over her shoulder. Probably looking out for other black people. Like Jesse Jackson said, "There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see someone white and feel relieved."

I could see that in that American blacks were here to be slaves
and treated as much.
In parts of this country they weren’t mixed with the whites until
after the early/mid `1900s.
