So many questions. The first is Why? Did the little shit smack her too hard and she hit her head on a rock? If so he could have tried to get her to medical help etc. A brutal "accident" and he doesn't do life.

Sounds like the “van” was hers, but more than unclear. That HE should show up at HIS home with HER van without HER would be more than a bit strange for his paris to accept. HIS paris seem very guilty.
