The FBI announced Tuesday that Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue has confirmed remains found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest are those of Gabrielle Petito.
The coroner determined the 22-year-old's manner of death to be homicide. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.
I can’t believe “law enforcement” let this scumbag get out of their sight.
Maybe they can get OJ to help them locate him.
Police said they ruled that out. Then again, a friend of Gabby's said he hears voices. Maybe that qualifies him as "creepy guy". Who knows.
True. They had an independent witness. They had statements form both of them. All stated that he hit or shoved her.
Since the 1970s, “separate and mediate” has gone the way of the Dodo.
They probably get tired of millenial idiot tourists on their vision quest. But that’s the reality. It was a domestic violence charge, and they blew it off. If they arrested her or him, she might not be dead. If the arrested him, those other two Moab women might not have been murdered either.
His behavior is best described in medical terms as Darvo
DARVO is an acronym for “deny, attack, and reverse victim and offender”. It is a common manipulation strategy of psychological abusers. The abuser denies the abuse ever took place, attacks the victim for attempting to hold the abuser accountable, and claims that they, the abuser, are actually the victim in the situation, thus reversing the reality of the victim and offender. This usually involves not just “playing the victim” but also victim blaming.
If it's determined that the murder occurred on federal land, it will be a federal prosecution.
In today’s world, Solid Facts seem to be in very short supply.
I’d volunteer for the executioner role on a firing squad.
The police are going to eat that one. Mark my words. In the last 15 years, since 2006, Moab has had exactly one murder each in 2010, 2011, and 2018.
And these two just HAPPEN to get murdered by a creepy guy the day after the cops stop this guy, make him spend the night apart from his GF, who he murders a week or so later?
I think the cops meant to say, we have no proof. But that’s a long way from ruled out. Also, it is very likely that the guys at that stop may have literally never investigated a single homicide.
Out of their league. Of course he did it.
Yeah.
At some point 'life in prison' just isn't much of a deterrent...
To be complete there is another possibility
8 Brian conspired with a 3rd party to murder gabby
However the Utah police incident appears to indicate that Brian was low on funds. That might just have been a story Brian made up for the police, but clearly they are not staying at Hilton hotels along their way, so personally I discount the 3rd party hit person possibility.
My guess is strangulation, because it fits that narcissistic psychopath boyfriend. It is the ultimate power play, and so easily done to a slight young girl like Gabby.
According to this, a suicide is actually a homicide. That said, the usual interpretation is that it's a killing of one by another and I doubt the coroner would have used it in any other context.
Additionally, her body was found on a National Park, therefore its a FEDERAL Crime, not a local state crime. Feds still have the death penalty, it just takes them 20-40 years to execute if at all. And with the Rats in charge, they’ll let him out in 3-5 yrs.
See post 17.
It's not a lack of experience. To blame a murdered woman is evil, through and through.
“”The Utah police that responded to a domestic situation could be in trouble.””
From the video I seen he was the only one with marks on him and he didn’t press charges. They made arrangements for them to separate for the night. What do you think they did wrong?
The Body was badly decomposed.
Her body has been there for quite some time.
I’ll be surprised if that can say with certainty how she was Killed.
I wonder if he pushed her off a cliff?
“no visible signs of a body when they erected a canopy.”
WTF was THAT all about?
That or strangulation was my guess too.
COVID!
