The FBI announced Tuesday that Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue has confirmed remains found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest are those of Gabrielle Petito.
The coroner determined the 22-year-old's manner of death to be homicide. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.

Bordertown. I was just there 10 days ago. Got some lovely boiled peanuts for my drive home.
To: FamiliarFace
And also some green peanuts to cook. Mmm mmm mmm.

“She seemed, from a very small amount of video, to be imbalanced.”
I had the same impression from watching the video. She seemed hysterical but I admit that a abusive boyfriend could have been the cause. Then again maybe they were both crazy. Sad either way.

My kin folk in Missipp would always rave about “bald peanuts.” It took us several years to figure out they were saying “boiled.”
To: crusty old prospector
That’s a gen-u-wine Southern accent that pronounces it “bald”.
There’s a southern accent, where I come from
The young ‘uns call it country, the Yankees call it dumb
I got my own way of talking, but everything gets done
With a southern accent, where I come from.

She told the cops she was afraid he would leave her behind with no transportation. That might make you manic.

The more I read and bear I find this dispatcher to be reprehensible in attitude and apparently in action. He did not listen well or comprehend well. It appears he did not pass the 911 caller’s exact message forward to the police who had stopped the couple. This failure, in my opinion, lead directly to this girl’s death.

he may have snapped during an argument, and that if she was crazy there would have been many arguments. It's not Friday night yet. That's when you blame the woman when she is killed by her boyfriend.
To: Pearls Before Swine
If he would have turned himself in immediately after she died, Laundrie might have had a chance to shape the narrative to his favor. As it is now, with the unwillingness to help in the slightest, I expect the prosecution to go for the most serious charge they think they can prove. They will want to put him away for life.

Yeah, good point on some others getting the pass. But cute girls always seem to.

It’ll be a long wait for the results of the toxicology report!

I’m not blaming her... but his attorney is likely to, if they ever find him alive and this goes to trial. And, it seems like a good, if despicable strategy to down-plead the obvious murder 1 or murder 2 charge.

I posted this on another FR thread...
pure speculation, but I still think there is a tie between these cases...
my guess is that the lesbian (Kylen Schulte) that worked at the Moonflower Coop may have been a little too friendly to Gabby for Brian’s liking. It’s quite possible that Gabby and Brian were in that store more than once and got to know Kylen and learned where she and Crystal Turner were staying. In any case, perhaps some flirting between Kylen and Gabby resulted in the fight between Gabby and Brian outside the store.
Certainly not out of the question given the timeline:
- Aug 12th - fight between Gabby and Brian outside of Moonflower Coop
- Aug 12th - cops pull over Gabby and Brian
- Aug 13th - last time Schulte and Turner were seen (at Woodys Tavern)
- Aug 18th - Schulte and Turner found dead
it’s quite possible that Brian killed Schulte and Turner without Gabby knowing
at some point later, Gabby may have seen the news about these murders and confronted Brian...which would have driven him to kill her. Maybe this is too much of a stretch, but it at this point who the heck knows!

So she was not buried? I heard on one news report that there were grizzly tracks nearby so who knows what condition she was in when found.

Even if he killed her, which it certainly looks like, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t crazy. They were both a wee bit crazy. They both needed help, that's on the parents.

Schulte and Turner were shot. Doubtful Brian Laundrie had a gun.

Supposedly he was picked up on a trail cam 500 miles north of where the search for him is taking place. There were apparently bogus sightings of him in Mobile AL as well.
