It was Nero, he was born in 37 A.D. and lived till 68 A.D.
A book by John A. T. Robinson “Re-dating the New Testament” pegs the writing of Revelation as being before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
So there’s a lot of tie-ins in there to the current events of the day, plus prophecies of what was going to happen to Israel and Jerusalem.
Patterns also repeat themselves in history.
Very interesting, thanks for the additional info! I sometimes get the order of the Emperors mixed up. Seems like Octavian / Augustus may have been the only post-Caesar ruler who “had both oars in the water”, so to speak.
Hadn’t heard of the Robinson book before I read your post, so thank you for that info also! Will have to check it out.
