People speaking Spanish or whatever language they speak there, doesn’t really sound like Spanish unless a strong accent of something or other, I”m familiar with Mexican Spanish sound.

That’s the accent I learned Spanish with, so it sounds natural and much more understandable than Mexican to me. ;-)
