Trudeau didn’t get 95% of either the irrelevant popular vote or seats in the House of Commons. He got 32% of the popular vote and took 47% of the seats in the House of Commons, which is the largest percent that any party got, so he gets to be boss and will have to align with another party to get things done.
If we accept the premise that even the Conservative Party of Canada is leftward-leaning, that’s where the 95% comes from and we’re still talking only the irrelevant popular vote. If we accept that premise, the left won 100% of the seats in the HOC. However, there are many very good Conservative Party candidates who were elected, so some portion of the 35% of Conservative seats won are truly on the right. The leader of the Conservative Party is not one of them though. Erin O’Toole is a globalist.
