The socialist party (aka the NDP) will almost certainly join with the Liberal Party to form a parliamentary voting majority. The Liberal Party has moved so far left that people find it hard to distinguish them from the socialists.
Meanwhile, the Conservative Party gambled that a leftward move would make them more competitive with Trudeau, but the People's Party of Canada (closest to Trumpism) took away their chance at a majority by getting 5% of the vote and no seats in Parliament.
Overall result of the election: the socialist parties -- all the major parties -- got 95% of the vote, and the true conservatives got 5%. Not a good sign.

I think that may be a bit of an overstatement about the percentage but the sentiment is surely valid.
