The fiancé of missing 'van-life' woman Gabby Petito presents himself as a sweet and caring guy, but is actually jealous and controlling, her friend has claimed in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.
Rose Davis said Brian Laundrie, 23, allegedly went so far as to hide Gabby's ID once so that she couldn't meet up with her at a bar, triggering a violent episode similar to the one police investigated weeks before her disappearance.
'Brian took her ID just so she wouldn't be able to come out with me,' she told DailyMail.com on Friday.
'He's got these jealousy issues and he struggles from what Gabby called these "episodes," where he would hear things and hear voices and wouldn't sleep.

She said it was evident in the body camera footage police shared of an incident involving the two in Moab, Utah on August 12. A witness had called 911 after seeing the couple fighting.
This is probably classed as gossip but it gives another perspective. Apparently Laundrie has no friends and has jealousy and control issues. That she claims Laundrie hears voices is alarming.
They were both wack and she was even Wacker if you can believe that.
This is what happens when departments don't hire for brains.
I’m glad Im a guy. I do t even try and understand women and the scum bags they date, defend, marry. And it started with the first one, she fell for a scumbags lies.
Spotify songs may offer clues
Four songs by English artist Matt Berry were added to a
playlist on a Spotify account Petito and Laundrie share on
Aug. 31, the day after Petito’s mother last received a
text from her phone.
Some of the songs are about love.
One song, “Take My Hand,” includes the lyrics, “We’ll
disappear to a pub that’s not too far from here.”
Another song is about a dying badger.
Then there's “Woman.”
“Your woman is your angel, is your left side, is your
whole life,” Berry sings, “easily the most beautiful thing
in the world.”
“She’ll soothe you. She’ll accuse you. She’ll confuse you.
She’ll lose you, but always be the best right friend
you have in the world.”
Yup. the police were clueless. And Laundrie triggers her anxiety, stands back and watches. He got the reaction that he wanted and is in control. He’s the victim. I wonder if he’s passive/aggressive?
Interesting. Thanks!
There's a saying that goes along the lines of "Women marry men in the hopes of changing them and men marry women in the hopes that they will never change."
There's truth in that.
FUBAR
I think Laundrie hearing voices outclasses Petitos anxiety attacks.
I’m appalled at that department.
As far I can tell, those officers made no effort to ask any questions that made have raised red flags, made no phone calls to find out anything about the couple. Didn’t get a detailed itinerary from them, alert other departments.
A number of the circumstances here, at the time of the stop, would have pegged my meter, but not these Keystone Kops.
I won’t print the rest of what I’m thinking.
I’m furious.

This is what worries me (hearing voices just adds to the toxic mix). If Gabby was in a ‘coercive control’ relationship (locking her out of car, taking her ID = coercive control), then a ‘trigger event’ could have happened .... something that prompts the perpetrator to feel a loss of control. The perp feels ownership of the victim and cannot accept that they are not in control.
Since he is reported to be “on the run” (this was being reported as of last night), my concern is he’ll suicide himself ... the proverbial LEO noose is tightening. To keep “control”, he can suicide himself & never tell where he’s left Gabby’s remains. A big FU to everyone ... Gabby, her loved ones, LEOs, maybe even his own family.
“I’m glad Im a guy. I do t even try and understand women and the scum bags they date, defend, marry.”
Same here. After 77 years of dating, marriage and dating again, I am confused as ever.
Those cops definitely dropped the ball. In an over an hour interview they totally missed any red flags.
I don't like to dump on police officers but that traffic stop (that lasted more than an hour!) was like nothing I've ever experienced in a traffic stop. The police were basically just jawboning with Brian like they were all buddies while Gabby was seated in the police car. When it became apparent that the cops were considering Gabby the aggressor and even contemplating arresting her and taking her to jail, I was just shaking my head.
It was rather bizarre.
Good question
It’s a break from watching Democrats destroy our country.
