I, for one, appreciate the perspective from Jan S. People use war-dead counts ALL THE TIME to make logical comparisons. Why is it wrong TODAY?
It cheapens the sacrifice and reduces the war dead to mere numbers to make a point.
A FReeper was doing the same thing on the "Flubro’s and Flubras! Day xxx (a place for Flubros and Flubras)" threads because he objected to the threads.
It was wrong then (and I wrote as such); it's wrong now.
